I’m Julien Baillargeon-Lesage, the mind behind On the Rocks creative.

Starting this project was the next step in my creative journey—a way to combine my passion for design with the joy of helping others bring their ideas to life. The name On the Rocks was inspired by my dog, Whisky (yes, he’s the best boy).

With a “less is more” philosophy, I’m all about designs that are fresh, bold, and meaningful. I use colour, texture, and just the right details to create visuals that feel alive yet true to each client’s story. Working with small businesses and entrepreneurs especially excites me because I get to see firsthand how a well-designed brand can make a real difference in their journey.

Collaboration is at the heart of my approach. I’m not just here to make things look good; I’m here to understand your vision and bring it to life in a way that feels genuinely you. Clients often describe me as approachable, creative, and easy to work with, and I hope to make the design process feel more like a fun, shared experience than just a transaction.

When I’m not designing, I find inspiration in all kinds of storytelling—movies, music, songwriting, etc.—and love weaving subtle references from pop culture into my projects (if it’s right for the project, of course). I find my best ideas while out on walks with Whisky, where I can let my imagination and my mind wander.
